NCAA Men's Baseball - Tempe Regionals

Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed at the Tempe Regionals from Oklahoma University, Vanderbilt University, Stony Brook University and Arizona State University.

This weekend's games were definitely action packed with many double plays, great pitching, fielding and hitting with even a walk-off homerun and triple-play!

For all of the college alumni and family that made the trip to Tempe, hope you enjoyed your stay in the desert. Below are some sample photos from this weekend's game, but more galleries will be added in the next couple of days from each game...

NFL Youth Football at Reach 11 Sports Complex

The NFL put together an amazing Youth Football Clinic for hundreds of children at the Reach 11 Sports Complex. They brought in many NFL current and former players, coaches and even Spike, the Superbowl mascot. The boys and girls ran football drills, got autographs from the players and had a grab bag of NFL goodies to bring home. Kudos to the NFL and Superbowl Hosting Committee...

ASU beats UA in OT 64-59 in an impressive win...

The Duel in the Desert did not disappoint extending the game into overtime. ASU outplayed UA making up the 10 point deficit from the first quarter to get the win. It was an exciting game to say the least and the sold-out Wells Fargo Arena was painted Gold and Maroon throughout the stands. Some fans even came with only their ASU colors on and everyone's voice was hoarse after the game.

ASU fans give the UA starting lineup a warm welcome and their undivided attention.

Who needs clothes when they have their true colors on?

Celebration breaks out on the hardwood floors in the first win for ASU against arch-rival UA in a long time!

Congratulations to the Oklahoma State University Cowboys for their impressive 49-33 win over the Indiana Hooisers in the 2007 Insight.com Bowl held in Tempe, AZ. The game was impressive from all aspects from the Air Force Special Forces parachuting into Sun Devil Stadium, the dueling of the bands during halftime, the stunting of Cheerleaders from the sidelines, the supportive fans, to the acrobatic ability of both football teams.

What a game! ASU goes down 0-8 in the first minute and comes back to blow out #17 Xavier! Mostly Freshman and Sophmores, ASU basketball is up and coming. This game was nationally televised by TNT... too bad my only 15 seconds of glory on TV was almost being trampled by some players saving a loose ball...

Queen Creek High School's Football team took the field again Seton Catholic High School Friday night in Chandler. The score was one-sided with Queen Creek shutting out Seton Catholic 31-0 in an impressive win. Queen Creek's guys ran and caught the ball up and down the field while the girls cheered them on with their own acrobatic way. Driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina

Leigh-Anne and Aaron's Wedding Day - Rain or Shine...

The weather called for rain and scattered thunderstorms on September 1st, 2007 - Leigh-Anne and Aaron's special wedding day, but there was no rain and only shine... and some heat and humidity. Leigh-Anne and Aaron were joined together in an emotional and joyous celebration at Christ Life Church followed by an outdoor dinner reception at their Senior Pastor's home. Except for a slight delay for a dust storm to pass, the day (from the viewpoint of a wedding photographer) went perfectly. It was evident of the love they had for one another and how each one was so special in each of their guests' and families' lives.

The Homes in Fulton Ranch

I had an opportunity to visit the homes in the new community in Ocotillo, a small town in South Chandler. These Fulton home in Fulton Ranch is beautiful. Even in a real estate downturn, these homes are increasing in value and price every week. Make sure that you get the basement option though... your friends and family will love you for it!

Captured some really cool underwater photos of the swimmers competing in this year's 2007 Arizona Long-Course State Championships hosted by Sun Devil Aquatics at ASU's Mona Plummer Pool. All of the top teams in AZ showed up with their best swimmers to compete and race for the fastest times. There was also time for some fun and silly photos of course. Everyone was friendly and seemed to be having a great time!

Many speak of the magic and specialness of this date, but really it was the day that Peter married his bride Jiyoung at their home Church, Global Mission Church of Arizona. Yeung Photography enjoyed the challenge of guessing what the MC and Pastor were saying in Korean, trying to set up for the photos and especially the improvised dance floor created by Peter's best man, Yen.

What a joy to see so many children and helpers worship God with their voices and hand actions. LKC Photography and Yeung Photography are honored to capture the innocence of children at this year's Vacation Bible School - Avalanche Ranch held at GPCCC from 6/24/07 ~ 6/28/07. At the end of every night, the VBS campers watched a short slideshow presentation of themselves and their friends throughout that evening. 2007 USTA Southwest Junior Closed Tennis Tournament

This past weekend, we took a day-trip to Tucson, AZ to cover the 2007 USTA SW Jr Tennis Tournament. The drive wasn't as long as we remembered driving from Phoenix to Oro Valley (North Tucson). The Hilton Conquistador Resort, site of the tennis competition, defintely had some breath-taking views of the mountains. It was exciting to watch and photograph these young athletes play their hearts while they ran, jumped and swung their rackets at the balls. Only the top junior players under 18 years old from AZ and neighboring states were invited to compete. It brought me back to my high school days when I was on the tennis team... Of course I mostly warmed the bench though! We captured many amazing action shots.

2007 Cactus Classic International Swimming Competition

Just completed a club swimming competition at the Cactus Pool and at ASU's Mona Plummer Aquatic Center. There were thousands of swimmers competing from less than 10 years old to college aged... even some swimmers that qualified for the Olympic Trials! Swimming photography is one of those arts that can only be mastered with the right photo equipment, critical lighting conditions and lots and lots of practice.
